Carmel-Cathedral Football Game on ESPN!
Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 01:02PM The opening weekend of high school football could mean a step up for Indiana high school football.
ESPN along with Carmel High School and Cathedral High School are working on signing contracts and performing on-site inspections to air the game August 22nd at 7 p.m. and August 23rd at noon on ESPN!
Carmel coach, Mo Moriarity, told the Indianapolis Star that everyone is on board for the game. Last year ESPN only televised 14 regular-season high school games, none involving Indiana. The attraction is star seniors on both teams. Carmel's quarterback, Norgan Newton is talking to a number of colleges from Bowl Championship Series conferences. Cathedrals offensive lineman, Kyle Koehne, is considering Boston College, Florida, Michigan, and Michigan State. The high profile players on both sides is what ESPN is looking for.
