Term life also gives the homebuyer the advantage of naming the beneficiary (the lender always names itself). Another advantage to using term life insurance is that the value of the policy remains constant, whereas bank mortgage insurance will charge the same rate for premiums although the value decreases as they will only pay the balance owing, not the original value. Term life also offers the option of choosing a policy that converts into whole life insurance when the term expires without having to submit new medical information. Consult with a qualified broker as well as comparing term life insurance quotes online.
